They couldn’t have come at a better time.
I was exhausted from being on the go-go-go the day before and for all you ladies who can empathize, I was also in PMS-mode. Although it was a good kind of apostolic exhaustion which nourished my soul, my body couldn’t tell the difference. Earlier that morning, I was at a meeting to discuss helping a Korean family here with catechism, then spent the afternoon preparing a talk for the Challenge Camp girls and helping Mama Brown cook a Roman feast for them. Boy, I’ve forgotten what it was like to cook for 40+ people! Reminded me of the ole’ Rhode Island days. Nonetheless, everything turned out well, and it was wonderful to give of myself that way again. But nothing could beat coming home to my husband’s arms that evening. Anyways, I’ve digressed. The point is, the next day, the adrenaline was gone, and I was tired.
So when I checked my email and saw that our professional wedding pictures were viewable online and there was a slideshow of our photographers’ favorites, my tiredness quickly faded. I was back there again, on July 1, with a smile on my face.
