Yes, we got ours!

I stumbled upon this Norman Rockwell picture (I’m a fan, can you tell?) and I had to share it, especially since Brendon and I just got our marriage license! Ideally I would have shared this news with you all yesterday, immediately after returning from Access PEI with our papers in hand, but we had no internet service all weekend until just a few hours ago.

As Brendon and I sat in the office reading over and signing our affidavits, we shared nervous-excited-“ohmygosh” glances and smiles. This was yet another step bringing us closer to our wedding day, and a reminder of how real this all is…and how quickly it’s coming up!

My internal clock still thinks in California-weather-mode to determine what time of year it is, and PEI’s early spring weather (rainy this week) is throwing me off. I keep thinking I have months to go until the wedding when in reality, it is only 52 days away…that’s less than 2 months. Yikes! In my mind, May=summer temperatures, and therefore July=mid-summer. I am told that here, July=beginning of summer. Now can you understand my confusion and losing track of time? Haha.
