Miracle Sippy Cups

The Issue with Sippy Cups

Hey Parents, this thing is truly miraculous. Do you LOVE your kids’ current sippy cups? Or do you worry about finding mold in tiny crevices, disassembling a dozen tiny parts for hand-washing, only to lose the most important piece down the drain? Are you concerned about transitioning your kids from sucking on a straw to eventually drinking out of a normal cup? Seriously, save yourself the stress, time and money and just order yourself a set or two of these.

Finally, A Solution!

They are practical, durable, easy to clean, they are spill-resistant, dentist-approved, and affordable, especially as they are on SALE right now. The Munchkin Miracle 360 Sippy Cups are, in my vast experience with toddler cups, the single best sippy cups out there. Our kids have gone through so many different cups, but once I found these, my search was over. Munchkin’s description of these cups really sums it up quite perfectly:

Let’s face it: toddlers are a messy bunch, especially when first navigating sippy cups. Now imagine a world in which drinks didn’t spill at all – not in your diaper bag, not on your nightstand, and not even onto your eager-to-learn child. No, it’s not a miracle, exactly – it’s Munchkin’s Miracle 360 Sippy Cup. The first sippy cup invented with both parents and kids in mind, the Miracle 360 Sippy Cup eliminates messes and supports kids’ dental health all at once. Drinking from anywhere around the rim, like a regular cup, helps support normal muscle development in a child’s mouth. And with no extra spouts, straws or pieces, the Miracle 360 Trainer Cup is easy to use and even easier to clean.

Let’s Go Over the Details

I can attest these are so easy to clean. We hand-wash them because they break down to just 3 large parts, and we are usually hand-washing our kids ezpz trays after meals anyways, but you can easily throw them in the top-rack of the dishwasher. Just make sure you separate the collar from the valve (plastic and silicone parts- Don’t worry, both BPA free and food grade safe) when washing and drying and you should have no issues with mold.   These come in 2 options in 4 colors: A Trainer Cup with handles that holds 7oz and the Sippy Cup (no handles) that holds 10oz. We opted for the larger Sippy Cups for the slimmer profile (easier to stuff in a bag or pocket of a backpack) and have the 8 of them all together in blue, orange, pink and green. We keep a set at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

The flow is slow-ish but I think that’s a good thing. It’s enough for the kids in a single sip and prevents any spillage from overfilling their mouths. Hold them upside down, give it a shake and no drip, put it on its side and still no drip. It requires pressure from lips on the lid for any liquid to come out so I don’t have to worry about big spills with this cup. Sure, it’s not “tantrum proof”- whatever liquid is between the collar and the valve will shoot out when it’s thrown or dropped (hits a hard surface)- but, folks, it’s as close to perfect as we’ve been able to get.   They come in such pretty vibrant colors as well: Blue, Green, Orange and Pink. I love that the valve is made of silicone and while being sturdy and flexible it also is anti-microbial and easy to clean. Make sure you check the little air vents if you’ve been storing liquids other than water in it for a while. Super easy.

Oooolala, Hello Stainless Steel!

Munchkin just released a stainless steel option which I think is brilliant as it combines all the benefits of stainless steel with an already great design. They are light, durable, and can keep the liquid inside cold for 15 hours, and health conscious (food grade stainless steel is a great non-chemical leaching material). These will be great travel cups as we get rid of the condensation or “sweating” issue, we had with the plastic versions and I’m hoping that the lids will do better not beading up with liquid as well given that it’s insulated. I will report back after we give these a week or two of use. Lastly, these come with a lid which isn’t necessary but nice to have when you’re throwing this in your bag or out and about to keep the part that the kids lips go on, clean. Easy to lose, but good additional value nonetheless. Here’s Munchkin’s description:

For growing kids on-the-go, durable stainless steel keeps drinks cool up to 15 hours and the snap-on cap assures that germs steer clear.   This cup will truly “steel” your heart. We’ll say cheers to that!
• Insulated, double-walled stainless steel keeps drinks cool up to 15 hours.
• Snap-on cap included.
• Toddler cup with dentist recommended spoutless design.
• 360-degree drinking edge eliminates spills completely.
• Cup automatically seals when child stops drinking.
• Perfect cup for your nightstand – doesn’t spill when you’re in bed.
• Great for older kids too.
• Easy to clean with no extra valves or parts.
• BPA-free, top rack dishwasher safe.

Hi Maria, pretty cool on your intro on the miracle 360 cups. My daughter Katelyn who is almost 3 years old now is also a fan of the cup. Inspired by Kate my wife and I came up with a silicone lid made for all miracle 360 cups. We were wondering if you would like a sample to try out? If you like our lid, perhaps we can send you a few sets to give away to your readers? Our koaii baby lid should be available on Amazon sometime in late February. Thank you.
